Beyond the Mat: Exploring the Royal Nationals Cities

The Royal Nationals Series is coming back this year, and we have expanded to eight cities around the country! From the rich history of Washington D.C. to the exciting entertainment and lights of Las Vegas, there is something for everyone to do. Let’s take a closer look at each of these locations!

WASHINGTON D.C. (All American Nationals, January 24-25, 2026)

As one of the top travel destinations in the country, it’s no surprise that All American Nationals in Washington D.C. is gearing up to be one of the hottest events of the season! Our nation’s capital is an open-air museum to America’s history. The reflecting pool of the National Mall connects landmarks such as the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Capitol Building. D.C. is also home to the world-renowned Smithsonian Institution, which includes 17 FREE museums you can visit to escape the cold January weather.

BRANSON, MO (Battle in the Ozarks Nationals, February 14-15, 2026)

The first ever Battle of the Ozarks will be taking place in Branson, Missouri! Branson is the live entertainment capital of the midwest, and offers lots of family fun activities in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. You can find several theaters for live entertainment, many places to shop downtown, and three pristine lakes. Some fun indoor activities include the world’s largest toy museum, the Titanic museum, and Ripley’s Believe It or Not!

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (Battle on the Boardwalk Nationals, February 14-15, 2026)

Royal Events will be returning to Atlantic City in February for the Battle on the Boardwalk Nationals. Atlantic City is known for being a classic seaside town with lots of activities. It is most famous for its boardwalk, which has many shops, restaurants, and entertainment areas for the whole family! This year’s competition will take place in Harrah’s Resort and Casino, where you can find many restaurants from famous Food Network chefs like Gordon Ramsay, Guy Fieri, and Bobby Flay.

WACO, TX (Lone Star Nationals, February 21-22, 2026)

This year’s Lone Star Nationals will be taking place in Waco, Texas. Waco is a charming destination with a rich history. It is well known for the Magnolia Market at the Silos, created by Chip and Joanna Gaines of “Fixer Upper” fame. At the Magnolia Market, you can find home goods, beautiful gardens, and lots of food. Beyond that, there are several other attractions such as the Dr. Pepper Museum and Cameron Park – one of the largest parks in Texas!

SEVIERVILLE, TN (Smoky Mountain Nationals, February 28 – March 1, 2026)

The Smoky Mountain Nationals is one of our most popular competitions, and for good reason! This event takes place in Sevierville, in the heart of the gorgeous Smoky Mountains. Sevierville is a charming small town with a big personality (and is also home to the legendary Dolly Parton!). You can explore the historical downtown area, shop at the popular Tanger Outlet Center, and take a picture with a bronze statue of Dolly herself in front of the courthouse. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is just a short, scenic drive away.

KISSIMMEE, FL (Sunshine Nationals, March 21-22, 2026)

The Sunshine Nationals competition is moving to Kissimmee, Florida this year! Kissimmee is famous for its proximity to some of the most famous theme parks such as Disney World and Universal Studios. Beyond that, you can go on airboat rides through the Everglades, visit Gatorland, or go on a peaceful stroll through the historic downtown area. Fun fact: Kissimmee is the “Vacation Home Capital of the world” with over 30,000 vacation homes to choose from!

COLUMBUS, OH (Buckeye Nationals, March 28-29, 2026)

The Buckeye Nationals are returning to Columbus, a city known for its vibrant art scene, diverse neighborhoods, and wide range of culinary finds. You can enjoy the spring weather by exploring the streets of the German Village, or by walking through the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Columbus is also a paradise for food lovers everywhere, with a variety of locally-owned restaurants to try out!

LAS VEGAS, NV (Jackpot Nationals, April 11-12, 2026)

Our final competition in the Royal Nationals series will be in Vegas! While Las Vegas is famous for its casinos, there are also plenty of family friendly activities you can find. The Fountains of Bellagio and Conservatory & Botanical Gardens are two free attractions that are fun for all ages. Athletes and their siblings will love Hershey’s Chocolate World, The Sugar Factory, and the Museum of Illusions, as well as a gondola ride at the Venetian!
