Royal Ambassadors: The Faces of Hospitality

Every kingdom needs its loyal knights, its crown jewels, its…well… in our case, Royal Ambassadors.

These upbeat, dependable, high-energy humans are the ones who turn our weekends into something unforgettable. We like to call them our Weekend Warriors, because while most people are sipping coffee at brunch or tackling laundry piles, these warriors are out on the arena floor making sure the Royal Events magic never skips a beat.

Who Are the Royal Ambassadors?

That’s the best part. Our Ambassadors aren’t a one-size-fits-all crew. They come from all walks of life, all with one thing in common: they bring the royal standard of hospitality: The Royal Experience.

College Cheer Teams on a Mission

Entire college cheerleading squads often sign on as Royal Ambassadors. It’s more than a job. It’s a fundraiser that helps them get to their own Nationals.

“We thought it’d just be a fundraiser,” shared Amanda Higgs, coach of the Kentucky Wesleyan cheerleading team. “But by the end of the weekend, we were cheering just as hard for the little ones hitting the floor as we do for our own teammates. It was awesome.”

Cheer Newbies Who Get Hooked

Some Ambassadors join with zero cheer experience. No back handsprings, no bedazzled bows. But one weekend in the Royal world, and suddenly…they’re obsessed.

“I didn’t really know what it was going to be like,” said Kevin Courtney, who started with Royal Events seasonally and has moved into a full-time position on the logistics team. “Most of these kids live for competition days. That’s where they can be themselves. And being a part of the outlet to make those days the best is an awesome feeling.”

True Weekend Warriors

Then there are those who live for the grind! The travel, the teamwork, the showtime energy. For them, being a Royal Ambassador is about being part of something bigger.

“Working for Royal doesn’t feel like just a part-time job,” said Gabby Megge, who has worked over 10 Royal Events. “It feels like being part of a team that’s invested in creating unforgettable experiences for our incredible athletes. Every event is unique, and the energy makes you excited to show up.”

The excitement is just one part of the story. Many Ambassadors also find that the role grows into a lifestyle that blends passion, purpose, and perseverance. They see the long hours, the heavy lifting, and the behind-the-scenes grind as part of what makes the role meaningful.

“Being a Weekend Warrior is more than just a side gig,” said Bryce Williams, who has been in the cheer industry nearly a decade. “I love seeing kids light up at events, knowing we’re making memories for them. It’s hard work. Long hours and plenty of sore muscles. But the travel, the people, and the energy make it all worth it.”

What Do Ambassadors Do?

Short answer? Everything that makes your day smoother.

  • Welcome coaches, athletes, and families with next-level hospitality at admissions.
  • Keep warm-up rooms running like clockwork.
  • Help parents, spectators, and athletes find their sizes in the most memorable merchandise.
  • Make sure awards ceremonies sparkle like the crowning moments they’re meant to be.

They’re the quiet heroes behind the curtain who make sure everything in front of the curtain feels effortless.

Why They Matter

At Royal Events, we can build the biggest stages, blast the best music, and design the flashiest awards. But it’s our people, the Royal Ambassadors, who bring the heart.

They’re the reason athletes feel like stars, coaches feel supported, and families walk away saying, “That was an experience.”

“Our Ambassadors are the backbone. Without them we wouldn’t be able to deliver the experience we want to give. They put the whole company on their back by being on the front line,” says Jonathan Agee, head of staffing.
